3M™ E-A-R Classic Plus Earplugs are the world’s first foam earplugs and remain among the most widely used for noise protection. Designed slightly longer than the regular Classic™ earplugs, they fit deeper in the ear canal to provide superior noise reduction up to 33 dB NRR. Constructed from slow-recovery, low-pressure PVC foam, they conform comfortably to the ear canal, creating an effective sound barrier against industrial and workplace noise. Their bright yellow color allows for quick visual compliance checks. These moisture-resistant and flame-resistant cordless earplugs are ideal for a wide range of environments including chipping, chiseling, drilling, furnace operations, grinding, heavy machinery, machining, casting, riveting, sanding, sawing, welding, and loud music settings. They are compatible with the 3M™ E-A-Rfit™ Validation System and meet CSA Class AL standards. Research suggests real-world protection may be less than rated; a 50% noise reduction factor is often recommended for typical use.
